INTRODUCTION
   Salketchie Ridge Wildlife Club has been established as a private, members only club since 1989. The camp and properties are located about 10 miles from the quaint town of Hampton , SC.  Deer & Turkey Hunting in Hampton and Colleton counties consists of approximately 2700 acres of natural habitats as well as hard wood pines, two miles of swamps, open fields and well maintained food plots.  The area and tracts provide excellent SC hunting.

  In 1995 we established our careful deer management program in order to harvest quality whitetails. The program has proven successful over time and we continue to monitor the outcome from year to year.  In 2007 we harvested twenty nine bucks that fell within our management guidelines.  2008 we recorded 3 bucks over 18" and several with 15-17" spread.   We hope to see continued success. 

      Also, to enhance the deer herd we plant seasonally and provide supplemental feeding (food plots).  Also, we prune and cut natural vegetation twice a year to provide more natural browse.  We do not however; seek to interrupt the natural feeding habits of any wildlife.  In addition, we limit human traffic in the woods during and after hunting season and also have a rest periods during which time no one is allowed in the woods. 

   It's obvious we try to be good stewards of the land and wish for our future members to do the same.  This is a family oriented camp and club.  Upon request we will be happy to provide more information.
